Between these, there may be various other reasons, such as low production of eggs, blocked fallopian tubes, fibroids or growth in the uterus.
Secondary issues like obesity, thyroid issues, smoking, alcoholism, stress and poor diet can also prevent conception, ideally, the first baby has to be planned before 30-35 year of age.
Process of getting pregnant or How does a women get pregnant normally?
To become pregnant, the egg will have to be released from the ovary and has to travel through the fallopian tube, where it is met by the sperm of the man and gets fertilized. The fertilized egg, then grow in the uterus till it is born.

After the initial investigation by the doctor , one of the following will be suggested according to your condition
1) IVF (in vitro fertilization)
2) Ovulation induction
3) Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
or 4) Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Number one infertility treatment option is in vitro fertilization ( or popularly know as IVF)
IVF is a process where the egg and sperm is fertilized outside the body, that is, in a laboratory. After fertilization, the embryo is placed into the women’s uterus. IVF, also known as Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), is an advanced technology with a high success rate. This procedure is normally recommended for damaged fallopian tubes in women or when the men are sterile or when there are other unexplained issues.
Another infertility treatment option is Ovulation Induction
Ovulation Induction treatment suit all women who produce low levels of hormones for ovulation or who are not producing eggs. Conception is through intercourse or artificial insemination(IUI)
Number 3) available option for infertility treatment is, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine Insemination is a less invasive and low cost procedure. This procedure is preferred for low sperm count, ejaculation-dysfunction, cervical problem, or unknown infertility. In this procedure, the sperms are placed directly into the uterus, such that the chance of fertilization increases by many folds.
and lastly number 4) infertility treatment option is, Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) treatment is used when the man is infertile. The sperm retrieved through the treatment is injected directly into the egg on the laboratory dish. The fertilized egg is then transferred to the uterus. The success rate of this procedure is 40% or higher
